  1. Set the tune for accountability.
  2. Expect extreme ownership by exemplifying it.
  3. Lead Down and Manage Up.
  4. Walk the Talk.
  5. Make CHRACTER a priority.
  6. Lead with automatic accountability.
  7. Make well-being a priority.
  8. Emphasize family work balance.
  9. Invest in your people.
  10. Team need purpose – build a shared PURPOSE.
  11. Educate and develop your people.
  12. Help them understand where you are headed – the mission, the vision.
  13. Promote a culture of connectivity.
  14. Inspire them to go beyond the call of Duty and Obligation – They are the KEYSTONE. 
  15. Provide guidelines and guardrails for them.
  16. Give them the authority and autonomy to solve problems within the guidelines and guardrails.
  17. Ask them, “What do you need from me?”
  18. Tell them that it is okay to ask questions with curiosity. 
  19. Help them understand how their efforts are connected to the greater purpose.
  20. Trust them to do their jobs and to use their best judgement.
  21. If something goes wrong then conduct a Blameless Post-mortem to determine what happened, why it happened, what they (and you) learned from the experience, what you are doing to share the learning and what you are doing to prevent the same error / mistake / failure in the future.
  22. When things go right be sure to learn from those experiences as well.
  23. Over communicate.
  24. Think long game. Think Infinite Game.
